I have a great love for children's books and the joy they bring to the lives of children. I am inspired by the lives of my own children, and try to look at my work through the perspective of their eyes. I hope to capture some of their joy, excitement, and wonder in my work.
As an Illustrator, it has been my long-time goal to write as well as illustrate my own picture books for children. I'm one step closer to reaching my goal with my nearly complete picture book dummy titled, 'Our Pizza Garden.'
My children are often the inspiration for
my illustrations and writing.
I have a passion for learning about many non-fiction subjects such as Archeology, Anthropology, Ancient History, Botany, Gardening and Mycology, just to name a few. I spend a lot of time reading, watching documentaries and drawing these subjects. I spend a lot of time in nature. I love walking through forests, drawing ancient Oak trees, gardening, looking for wildlife and I spend quite a bit of time with my three children sketching all the animals and botanical gardens and the Los Angeles Zoo.
I illustrated the first three books in a middle grade adventure fiction series written by Bryan Givens. The first book is titled 'Jack and The Hollow Hill'. The second, 'Jack and The Giant's Bargain' and the third book, 'Jack and The Jarl's Plea' has just been published.
