Pet Portrait Commissions

 As a professional artist, I have completed over 50 custom commissions for my clients. I specialize in creating stunning, colorful portraits of dogs, cats, birds, children, family members, or any cherished loved ones you'd like to celebrate with a beautiful work of art. I'm happy to work with you to cater to what you envision.  I accept a limited number of commissions each month to ensure each piece receives the time, care, and attention it deserves.

All portraits are hand-painted with your choice of watercolor, gouache, or acrylic on paper, canvas, or wood panel.

Commission Pricing:

Pricing is based on size, number of dogs, and overall complexity.
All pricing below reflects original, hand-painted artwork.

Portrait Pricing (One Dog)

• 9 × 12 - starting at $475 
• 11 × 14 - starting at $550 
• 12 × 16 - starting at $750 
• 16 × 20 - starting at $950
   

Additional Options

• Additional dogs in one portrait: quoted individually 
• Memorial text (name and/or dates): included upon request
• Custom backgrounds or settings: quoted individually 

Optional Photo Session - Los Angeles region only

For local clients, I offer an optional reference photo session for dogs who don’t photograph easily or for owners who prefer professional guidance.

• Conducted outdoors or in a familiar setting 
• Short, relaxed session focused on expression and posture 
• Especially helpful for memorial or heirloom portraits
   

Additional fee applies (quoted based on location and needs).

Timeline:

Most portraits are completed within 3–5 weeks from reference approval.
If you have a specific date in mind, please note this in your inquiry and I’ll do my best to accommodate when possible.

2. I’ll confirm availability and provide a final quote 
3. A deposit secures your place in my schedule 
4. Painting begins once references are finalized 
5. Finished artwork is carefully packaged and delivered
    

A Note On Availability:

Because I balance commissioned work with illustration and teaching, I only take on a small number of portrait commissions at a time. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee availability, but I respond to all requests as promptly as possible.

Customizations:

• Background details or special requests may incur an additional fee - for example adding a car in the background would be an $150 (starting rate).
• For sizes larger than 16" x 20", or specific custom requests, contact me for a personalized quote.

Turnaround time for a portrait is normally 2-3 weeks depending on complexity and number of subjects.

• Created from careful observation of reference photos 
• Focused on expression, markings, and personality 
• Intended to be a lasting, heirloom-quality artwork
   

Memorial portraits are approached with particular sensitivity and care.
