Writing and Illustrating for children's books is my favorite job in the world! What could be more rewarding than creating books that kids love?!
I'm a graduate from the Academy of Art University, and worked for many years as a Visual Effects Artist for film and animation. After becoming a mother of 3 little girls I changed my focus to work in the children's publishing industry. My ultimate goal is to bring to life the stories that live in my heart.
Reading children's books, creating art, writing stories and taking a journal or a sketchbook with me wherever I go has been a constant feature of my life since early childhood. I followed a long and winding path to work in many art related fields, but have finally come back to the place where my love for visual storytelling all began, in the realm of children's books.
I have spent many years working on my craft while raising children. After a long break from working as a Texture Artist for Film and Animation and as a Freelance Illustrator, I am now beginning to work in children's market publishing. I am currently working as the Illustrator for a middle-grade fiction series written by Bryan Givens. The series' first title is 'Jack and The Hollow Hill', which was recently published. The second book, Jack and The Giant's Bargain, was also recently published. I'm currently working on the chapter illustrations for the 3rd book in the series, 'Jack and The Jarl's Plea.'
I was chosen to illustrate this series based on my detail-oriented idealized realism style and my love for fantasy and historical artworks and books. I enjoy studying prehistoric archeology, anthropology, and ancient history, particularly in ancient Celtic culture, Roman history, the medieval period, and the Victorian era. I also love to read historic fiction books.
I'm also an avid gardener and nature lover. My writing and illustrations often reflect my interests. I am working to complete several picture book dummies with themes from my life experiences as a mother of 3 little girls, memories from my childhood, and also drawing inspiration from my love of nature and human history.
Please contact me if you're interested in working with me. I am not currently working with an agent, but am open to speaking to agents about my work.

I'm interested in connecting with Agents or Editors interested in working with me. I'm also really interested in connecting with other authors and illustrators in the #KidLit community.
