Picture Book Illustration Gallery

Welcome! Thank you for visiting my portfolio website. I’m a children's book Illustrator and Author. I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I lived for the first decade of my childhood, then spent the later part of my childhood in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. After that, I spent ten years in the San Francisco Bay Area where I received my BFA in Illustration and Design from The Academy of Art University. I currently live in Los Angeles, California with my husband and three small children.

I work on my art traditionally and digitally. I like using pencils, ink, watercolor, acrylic and gouache paint, and I also use Photoshop to enhance my work and create digital design elements. I use skills I learned while working as a Surfacing Artist in the film and animation to add textures to my illustrations.

I am currently working on writing and illustrating a picture book about a picky eater who finds her way to eventually liking vegetables through gardening and cooking with her family.  I have a book dummy available for anyone interested in my story.

I recently illustrated the first four books in a middle grade historical fiction, fantasy series titled, The Adventures of Jack, written by Bryan Givens.

I also received a runner up selection in the SCBWI 2nd Annual #KTIllustrates contest in 2021.  

I have always had a great love for children's picture books and literature. I'm an avid reader and collector of books, and especially children's books. I love being a part of the children's market community and working everyday on helping to create books and educational materials that support literacy, creativity, and the well being of children.
